NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING

Pursuant to Section 123 of The Municipalities Act, notice is hereby given that the Town of Burstall will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at 957 Railway Ave, Town of Burstall Council Chambers, to discuss:

  1. Draft Financial Statements
  2. Development Permit – Fence
  3. Land Sale Agreement
  4. Budget

Please note that the land sale agreement and budget portion of the meeting will be closed to the public under The Municipalities Act, Section 120 (b) long range or strategic planning.

WATER METER READING CHANGES!

Water meter readings will now only be required twice per year; the end of April, and the end of October. The Utility Management Bylaw has been updated to reflect these changes.

DELEGATES

To speak at a Council meeting you must register 48 hours prior to the meeting in writing (email is acceptable). You must state what you will be addressing, and your request of Council. All delegates must be respectful, or they will be asked to leave. The next Council meetings is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 6:30 p.m., Therefore, you must register to be a delegate by Monday, June 9th.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER SERVICE

Southern Gas & Safety will be at the Burstall Firehall on June 16th and 17th. If you would like your fire extinguisher serviced (at your cost), stop by the fire hall on one of those days.

LANDFILL CLOSED

The Landfill will be closed Saturday June 14th.

CANADA DAY CELEBRATION

Mark your calendars! June 30th will be the annual Canada Day celebration at the Burstall & District Community Centre.

FENCES

Building a fence? Fence information can be found in the Zoning Bylaw located on our website under “Town Documents”. The development permit application on page 72 will need to be filled out and submitted to the Town Office.
